The Department of Biology at Barry University hosted its third annual Graduate and Career Fair to help students explore graduate education options and learn more about potential career paths after graduation. The event introduced students to graduate programs at Barry and provided information to help them make informed decisions about their academic and professional goals.
Representatives from 12 Barry graduate programs participated, including Anesthesiology, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Educational Leadership, Kinesiology and Human Performance, Law, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, Social Work and Podiatric Medicine. Representatives from Barry’s Law program joined virtually to discuss opportunities in environmental and patent law.

This year’s fair also welcomed external programs for the first time. Larkin University shared information about its pharmacy program, while Miami-Dade County’s Teacher Accelerator Program (TAP) introduced students to an initiative designed to address the K-12 teacher shortage.
Students from all four undergraduate class years attended, along with prospective students. Attendees appreciated the opportunity to discover graduate programs they had not previously known about and gain a better understanding of programs already on their radar.
The Graduate and Career Fair is one of several initiatives organized by the Department of Biology to support students as they explore their options and plan their next steps toward their professional goals.
