Career Pathway @ Barry is fully launched and now offers undergraduate students the added benefit of earning scholarship funding while preparing for life after graduation.
Students can earn up to $500 per academic year by completing all required milestones for their class year. With just three to four milestones to complete each year, students who meet all requirements have the opportunity to earn up to $2,000 over four years. Barry students have already completed their milestones and received Career Pathway scholarships.
“Career Pathway is designed to make career readiness achievable and rewarding for every Barry undergraduate student! There’s no selection process; every student is eligible to earn up to $500 each academic year by completing just 3-4 required milestones. We’re already seeing students receive these awards, proving that building career-ready skills and earning financial support can go hand in hand,” said Career Relations Manager Nia O’Connor.
The program guides students through career preparation at every stage of their undergraduate experience. First-year students focus on exploring career interests and building foundational skills. As they progress, students continue developing professional skills and gaining experience to prepare for future employment.
Career Pathway follows nationally recognized career-readiness competencies and encourages students to take an active role in their professional development. Students can review their requirements and track their progress through Barry Engage, with support available from CASA coaches, faculty advisors, and career counselors.
Linus Wirth, who completed the milestones for his sophomore year, encourages fellow students to take advantage of the program.
“To any Barry student who has not started their Career Pathway yet, I would definitely recommend taking advantage of it. Start early and use the opportunities available to you. The experiences and connections you build throughout college can make a big difference when preparing for graduate school or your future career.”
With the program now fully launched, students can begin working through their milestones and take advantage of the career preparation and scholarship opportunities available to them.
