Dr. King has been selected as a 2026 Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN), one of the most prestigious honors in the nursing profession.

Dr. King is known for his pioneering clinical practice and scholarship in perioperative cannabis safety, an emerging and increasingly important area of patient care. His research has advanced understanding of the impact of cannabis use on surgical patients and helped inform evidence-based practices that enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes.
