Barry University’s Career and Experiential Learning (CEL) team is dedicated to helping students prepare for life after graduation through career coaching, resume development, interview preparation, networking opportunities, and employer connections.

That support is making a difference for students across a variety of industries.

Jarad Ramos accepted a position as a Junior Account Manager with Coastal Commercial Energy, where he will focus on developing new business relationships in the Boston area. Ramos credited CEL with helping him strengthen his resume and prepare for interviews. “The Career and Experiential Learning Center played a big part in helping me refine my resume, as well as providing interview preparation that gave me insight into what to expect and how to prepare.”

Patrae Cartwright secured a position as a Medical Assistant with StethoMD, supporting healthcare providers and patients in a clinical setting. Cartwright shared that CEL helped strengthen her resume, improve her interview skills, and build her confidence as she entered the workforce. “Overall, their resources and guidance were invaluable in helping me launch my career successfully and feel prepared for the responsibilities of my role.”

CEL also helped Camila Fernanda Lasso Estupinan secure both a Registered Mental Health Counselor Internship with Northeast Family Services and a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Internship with Let’s Talk Bout. Lasso Estupinan credits the Center for helping her navigate the internship search process as an international student, refine her resume, and prepare for interviews. “I wouldn’t be here without the incredible support of my career counselor, Nia O’Connor. Navigating the job search as an international student can be overwhelming at times, but Nia guided me through every step.”

These success stories are just a glimpse of the impact of Barry University’s CEL team. Barry is committed to helping students become career-ready by providing the guidance, resources, and employer connections needed to successfully navigate the path from job search to employment.
