Barry University is pleased to introduce a Forensic Psychology Specialization within the MS in Clinical Psychology program. This exciting new option launches in Fall 2026 and allows students to expand their training at the intersection of mental health and the legal system.

Students in the program may pursue the specialization by completing three additional courses (9 credits) beyond the standard 60-credit MS Clinical Psychology curriculum. These courses provide focused training in forensic assessment, legal standards relevant to clinical practice, and the application of psychological science in courts, correctional systems, and other legal settings.

The specialization prepares graduates to work with justice-involved populations in settings such as correctional and forensic programs, community mental health agencies, and organizations serving victims and offenders.

This new specialization reflects Barry University’s commitment to preparing clinicians with the knowledge and skills needed to meet the growing demand for mental health professionals trained in forensic and legal contexts.
