The Barry University women’s tennis team has done it again! The team has cemented its place as one of the most dominant programs in Division II with a fifth consecutive ITA Division II Women’s National Team Indoor Championship. Competing in Indianapolis, the Buccaneers delivered a commanding performance all weekend, showcasing the consistency, depth, and championship mindset that have become hallmarks of the program.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Avi Kigel, Barry continues to set the standard for excellence. Coach Kigel has built a culture rooted in discipline, resilience, and player development. This year’s championship run is yet another reflection of that vision in action.

Barry’s path to the title was nothing short of dominant. The Bucs opened with a 4-0 sweep over University of Indianapolis in the quarterfinals, followed by a 4-1 victory against University of West Alabama in the semifinals. In the championship match, they shut out University of West Florida 4-0, capping off a weekend where they dropped just one point overall.
