Exploring the Frontiers of AI at Technische Hochschule Nürnberg’s International Week
In November, Dr. Roman Wong from the Andreas School of Business and Public Administration had the incredible opportunity to participate in the International Week organized by Barry University’s esteemed partner, Technische Hochschule Nürnberg (“Nuremberg Tech”), a leading public university for applied sciences in Germany. Our collaboration with Nuremberg Tech has been thriving since 2003, marked by consistent exchanges of personnel, faculty, and students, fostering a rich cross-cultural learning environment over the past two decades.
The highlight of the International Week was the deep dive into Artificial Intelligence (AI), reflecting the cutting-edge theme chosen for this year’s event. Engaging activities included a stimulating seminar hosted at the Ohm Learning Lab, where we delved into Nuremberg Tech’s pioneering research in developing open language models into specialized applications. Additionally, eye-opening visits to the Zukunftsmuseum (The Future Museum), NCT (Nuremberg Campus Technology), and PUMA provided firsthand insights into how AI is strategically applied in real-world business scenarios, from research and development to organizational orchestration.
Dr. Wong delivered a 90-minute talk on AI and its transformative impact on productivity. Focusing on the evolution of methodologies and techniques in machine learning, the seminar drew a keen audience of both faculty and students eager to explore the dynamic landscape of AI.
This enriching experience not only strengthened the bonds between Barry University and Nuremberg Tech but also provided a platform for collaborative learning and idea exchange. The International Week at Nuremberg Tech stands as testimony to the power of global partnerships in advancing knowledge and innovation in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
