Outstanding Achievements in Education: Recognizing Excellence among EdD in OL/HED Students and Alumni

Emmanuel Ikpuri
A current EdD in OL/HED student – received a fellowship from the American Educational Research Association (AERA) to present a paper this coming April on Policy enactment in Nigerian secondary schools: The case of the national policy on education. As an aside, the EdD Program faculty has identified him as our Outstanding Student for the EdD in OL.

Justin Pinn, EdD
Graduated May 2022 – presented a paper, based on his dissertation, also at AERA (American Educational Research Association Annual Conference), on Learning from the roses that grew from concrete: An afterschool program evaluation for Wakanda Afterschool.

Lori Huertas
A current EdD in OL/HED students and former Barry employee – received (March 2023) the National Women’s History Month Award from Middle Tennessee State University.
