In Loving Memory of Chara Major: A Bright Light in Our Lives, Forever Remembered

Our student, friend, colleague, peer and member of the Counseling family, Chara Major, died in a car accident on Friday, January 27, 2023.

There are no “right” words at this moment, only honest ones. Chara was a bright and vivid person. Anyone lucky enough to meet her could feel the warmth of her spirit and glimpse the depths to her soul. She was always up-beat, ready to laugh and make a joke, and at the same time took seriously her work and desire to help others by doing her best. She was just starting to chart her path. It is a great loss that she did not have more time to fill the world with her light. To those that knew her, it was easy and clear to see the beauty of Chara’s life. Her light will linger in the lives of everyone she knew, and met, and helped, and loved.
