Message from the Dean
EmpowerED Minds: Insights on Education, Leadership, and Psychology

Greetings from the Adrian Dominican School of Education, Leadership and Human Development!

I hope 2023 has been good to you so far and that your last few months have been energized with enthusiasm and resilience as you’ve tackled the daily grind. It’s hard to believe that I am coming up on my eighth year as the dean of ADSOE-LHD; it is true when they say the “days are long, but the years are short,” and that perfectly captures my sentiment when I reflect on the highlights of the last several years. Time flies when you are having fun and love what you do!

Over the last 12 months, our alumni, students, faculty, and staff accomplished milestone achievements, noteworthy successes, and diligently pursued their goals. I am proud to share many of these successes in this installment of the ADSOE-LHD newsletter which highlights our 2023 Outstanding Students.

As we move into the summer, following an outstanding May Commencement, I am reminded of the profound impact that each one of you has on the individuals you serve in your professional settings. Wherever you are at this moment in time, thank you for being there, being committed and present, and for being a hero to others in your life. The best part about ADSOE is the community we continue to grow and foster with our students and alumni — thank you for being a part of our family.

With gratitude,
Dr. Jill
