Achieving Excellence: Barry University’s Success at ACSM Event in New York

The Sport & Exercise Sciences department recently excelled at a prestigious event hosted by the Greater New York chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine at the New York Langone Health Medical Center. Barry University, in collaboration with the University of Louisville and the New York Institute of Technology, showcased four research posters. Samuel Vilmeau and Vinicius Ribeiro received second-place honors for their outstanding research. Samuel explored mental toughness in competitive rowing, while Vinicius investigated body composition’s impact on occupational readiness in firefighting. Their work, set to be published in the International Journal of Exercise Science, reflects the dedication of Barry’s students and faculty.
