Founded in 1981, the National Academies of Practice is a non-profit organization established to advise governmental bodies on the healthcare system and to champion a more collaborative, patient-centered approach to care. As the only interprofessional organization of its kind, NAP brings together practitioners and scholars from a wide range of health professions who are united by a shared vision of promoting affordable, accessible, coordinated, and high-quality healthcare for all. The organization strongly believes that collaboration across disciplines is essential to advocating for patients and modeling excellence in both interprofessional and preventive care.
