Barry University’s Career and Experiential Learning (CEL) team is proud to host the 2026 Women’s LeadHERship Summit (WLS) on Wednesday, March 4, from 5:00–8:30 p.m. in Andreas 111. This year’s them is “Leading the Change: Forward and Fearless” and calls women and allies alike to step boldly into leadership with confidence, purpose, and intentionality.
WLS is a signature experience designed to empower women personally, professionally, and academically rooted in the university’s core commitments to knowledge and truth, social justice, inclusive community, and collaborative service. The Summit creates a space for dialogue, reflection, and action by bringing together emerging and established leaders committed to advancing women’s success across industries and generations.
Participants will engage in transformative programming, including hearing from visionary voices like Tamara Beliard Rodriguez and Barbara Fonte, panel discussions highlighting diverse leadership journeys, roundtable conversations fostering mentorship and peer exchange and a formal dinner and networking reception celebrating women’s leadership.
Students should attend to gain direct access to accomplished professionals, build meaningful mentorship connections, and expand their networks in an empowering and supportive environment. Beyond networking, attendees will learn about practical leadership strategies, strengthen their confidence, and gain insights that can help with navigating their academic paths and future careers.
Through these experiences, students will not only form valuable connections but also leave inspired, empowered, and prepared to take the next step in their leadership journey with power and purpose.
