As the year comes to a close, Barry University Wrapped 2025 reflects on the milestones, achievements, and experiences that shaped an impactful year. In 2025, Barry experienced meaningful institutional growth and progress, beginning with the restructuring of the College of Health Professions and Medical Sciences to better align academic programs with evolving workforce and healthcare needs. The launch of the AI Center and DX Lab further expanded opportunities for innovation, student collaboration, and experiential learning, positioning the University at the forefront of emerging technologies.
Student success and support remained a priority with the opening of Bucky’s Boutique and Career Closet, while the Student Managed Investment Fund reached a significant $1.5 million milestone. These achievements were reinforced through national recognition, including being ranked the #1 Most Diverse in Florida by Niche, recognition for Social Mobility by U.S. News & World Report, updated Carnegie Classification as an Opportunity College and University institution, and inclusion on the Phi Theta Kappa 2025 Transfer Honor Roll.
The fall semester was filled with energy and connection during Week of Welcome 2025, setting a strong foundation for community and belonging. The Barry Block Party welcomed 262 students to the Andreas Breezeway for an evening of music, dancing, and shared experiences that helped foster early connections among new and returning students. This momentum continued with the Flash Community Fest, celebrating Barry’s 85th anniversary and bringing together 614 students, faculty, and staff.
Student involvement remained a defining theme throughout the semester, highlighted by events that centered student voice and school spirit. The Homecoming Bash featured Hurricane Wisdom, a student-approved artist, and drew 146 students for a night of fun and celebration. The semester concluded with the largest YO Bash in Barry’s history, welcoming 310 attendees and introducing eight new student organizations. This expansion brought the total number of active clubs to 27, marking a major milestone for student engagement and leadership.
Looking ahead to the 2026 academic year, Barry University is positioned to build on this momentum. With continued investments in academic innovation, student-centered resources, and campus engagement, the year ahead promises new initiatives, expanded opportunities, and even more ways for students to connect, lead, and thrive.
