Barry University Men’s Golf continues to prove that Buccaneers belong on the biggest stages in the sport. This past weekend, two former Barry standouts earned their PGA Tour cards after advancing through one of golf’s most demanding proving grounds: PGA Tour Qualifying School at TPC Sawgrass.

Emerging from a field of 176 elite competitors, Barry alumni AJ Ewart and Adam Svensson were among just five players to secure their place on the PGA Tour following four rounds at Dye’s Valley Course and Sawgrass Country Club. Their success is a testament not only to their talent and perseverance, but also to the foundation built during their time at Barry.

Ewart showcased the poise and confidence of a Tour-ready player throughout the week, delivering consistent performances under pressure and finishing as the medalist at Final Stage. During his time at Barry, Ewart made a lasting impact on the program as a multi-time winner and national award recipient before continuing his professional journey on PGA Tour Americas.

Svensson also closed the tournament strongly to reclaim his PGA Tour card. A cornerstone of Barry’s national championship runs, Svensson has carried his collegiate success into a sustained professional career, including multiple FedEx Cup playoff appearances and a PGA Tour victory.

Together, Ewart and Svensson represent the enduring impact of BarryU’s golf program. Their achievements highlight the program’s ability to develop athletes who excel at every level, from NCAA championships to the world’s premier professional tours.
