On October 16 and 17, Barry University’s Biomedical Sciences (BMS) Program welcomed Dr. Larry Dunham and Mr. Joe Johnson from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine to their Hollywood, FL campus.
During their two-day visit, Dr. Dunham and Mr. Johnson held one-on-one sessions with 38 of Barry’s talented pre-dental students, providing guidance and insight into the dental school experience.
This visit highlighted the strong affiliation between Barry University’s BMS Program and Boston University, with the Goldman School of Dental Medicine accepting over 57 Barry BMS graduates in the past three years.

Barry’s BMS Program is designed to prepare students for acceptance to medical or dental school or to launch a dynamic career in professional research. Graduate students gain the skills and experience to pursue research in the biomedical, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries, work with various organizations, or continue their studies in Biomedical Sciences PhD programs.
Barry’s prime location in South Florida, which is one of the nation’s growing centers for biomedical innovation, offers students abundant opportunities for hands-on research and professional experience.
The program’s pre-dental track has a proven record of success, with Barry students accepted to many prestigious dental schools across the nation. Additionally, the non-thesis dental
curriculum allows students to complete their degree in just one year, helping them advance quickly toward their professional goals.
