Barry University’s CARE Center proudly collaborated with the Miami-Dade County People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Office, Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces, and the Miami-Dade Public Library System at the third annual Disability Resource Fair.

The event, held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the E. Darwin Fuchs Pavilion of the Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition, brought together more than 150 organizations dedicated to serving individuals with disabilities and their families. The community enjoyed a free, inclusive experience that connected them to vital resources and support systems.

Sponsored in part by The Children’s Trust, the fair served as a one-stop hub for information and services in areas such as employment, training, recreation, culture, housing, transportation, inclusive literacy, and assistive technology. Families had the opportunity to explore hands-on demonstrations, meet with service providers, and discover new pathways to greater independence and quality of life.

For the CARE Center, participation in the Disability Resource Fair reflects Barry University’s mission of fostering inclusive communities and empowering individuals through education and support. By collaborating with local agencies and organizations, the CARE Center continues to champion accessibility, advocacy, and equity for people of all abilities across South Florida.
