In 2022, Evgeny Yudin joined Barry University as a Stamps Scholar, bringing with him a passion for international learning and a desire to grow as a global citizen. Majoring in International Business, Evgeny has embraced opportunities that challenge him to expand his perspective and develop both personally and professionally. Originally from Moscow, Russia, he has used his time at Barry to build a strong foundation for leadership on a global stage.
This past summer, Evgeny served as a residential guide for the Iacocca Global Entrepreneurship Intensive (IGEI) at Lehigh University, where he supported 45 students from around the world as they explored entrepreneurship and innovation. The role challenged him to combine leadership, cultural awareness, and mentorship.
“Barry prepared me through both academics and hands-on roles,” Evgeny reflects. His coursework gave him a strong global outlook, while his work as a student ambassador strengthened his communication and leadership abilities. Both proved essential to his success at IGEI, where he guided students through an intensive, collaborative learning environment.
For Evgeny, the most rewarding part of the experience was twofold: witnessing the students’ curiosity and excitement while also discovering new strengths in himself. “The experience brought me closer to my goal of becoming a global citizen,” he shares.
His breakthrough moment at Barry came when he realized just how much stepping outside his comfort zone could accelerate growth. Whether leading campus tours or speaking on student panels, he learned that each challenge is an opportunity to gain confidence and sharpen his skills.
With an eye toward a future of international impact, Evgeny Yudin is living proof that Barry’s blend of academics, leadership opportunities, and global perspective provides the foundation for students to thrive anywhere in the world.
