We’re excited to share that Dr. Barbara Bryan, a distinguished Barry University alumna, has assumed the role of Interim President at Broward College. 

Dr. Bryan earned her Ph.D. in Leadership and Education with a specialization in Higher Education Administration from Barry University in 2005. This appointment is testimony to the exceptional caliber of talent fostered by our institution and the significant impact our alumni have on the field of education. She holds the distinction of becoming the first female president of the institution, which serves approximately 56,000 students. Commencing her term with an initial six-month duration, extendable for an additional six months, Dr. Bryan’s ascent from Barry University to the leadership of Broward College demonstrates the transformative power of education and the remarkable accomplishments of our alumni in the realm of higher education.
